Months have passed, COVID is still around. Local governments have implemented social distancing enforcing people to stay at home. Face Shield and face mask are mandatory. Resorts and Function halls closed. People are itching already to go out and have fun. Swim and have lunch with friends and family. Worry no more. JC EVENT CENTER and RESORT have now softly opened to the public. The resort initially started last 01 January 1, 2020. However, due to Covid threat, they were forced to shut down. Now, the local government has allowed the opening of resorts provided they are following protocols implemented by IATF. The resort is located in Bug-Na, Casinglot, Tagoloan, Misamis Oriental. 14.48 km away from the city of Cagayan de Oro. The shortest route between Tagoloan and Cagayan-de-Oro-City, Misamis-Oriental, Northern-Mindanao, PHL is 46.90 mi (75.48 km) according to the route planner. The driving time is approximately 1hour 30minutes if you are from the city. You can reach the resort through a private car or a taxi. It is not reachable by a Public Utility Vehicle. A Toll of 50 pesos is imposed on a private car and 20 pesos for a motorcycle before you can access the road towards the resort and may travel about 15 minutes from the highway. You can ask Google or Waze for direction if you want. We went to the said resort last 26 November 2020. A few reminders though before you arrive, make sure to book first as you might be denied entry if you do not have any booking. Walk-in was temporarily prohibited so the management can control the number of people seeking entry in the resort. Further, the said resort is having strict implementation on No face shield or no face mask no entry policy. You also have to pass the foot bath and the temperature is checked from all visitors ensuring that measures preventing transmission of Covid will be prevented. An entrance of 50 pesos for adult and 30 pesos for the children is collected for weekday rate and 70 pesos for adult and 50 pesos for children for the weekend rate. However, the entrance of the Driver of the vehicle is free of charge. Cottage rates start from a very cheap price of 600 pesos, 1000 pesos and up to 1,200 pesos depending on the capacity of persons. Shower rooms and comfort rooms are very clean, and cottages look very good too. They have 2 big swimming pools. A children’s pool with a height up to 4 feet. Another pool is very deep since it has a diving board and a basketball ring inside so visitors can have more fun. The resort is very large too. They also have a designated area for grilling and a very spacious parking lot, so you don’t need to worry about where to park. A canteen is also opened to provide you with your needs. You can buy any kinds of food, toiletries, non-alcoholic beverages, even the things you need for cooking or grilling. The resort is implementing no alcoholic beverages. Further, the resort has many workers too to constantly maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of the toilet and pool area. They even have a lifeguard to keep you safe ensuring that every guest is secured. So, what are you waiting for? Try the JC events centre and resort to beat the heat.
